Service & Leadership

Advancing the mission of non-profit and professional associations by serving in a leadership capacity lies at the core of my professional identity. Through this meaningful work, I facilitate the translation of research findings into practices and policies that will enrich lives. I take pride in helping to shape the future of our field by engaging in interdisciplinary and cross-cultural collaboration. I am further committed to building capacity by training and mentoring future generations of researchers, practitioners, educators, and policy-makers.

APA Division 16

The American Psychological Association’s Division 16 (School Psychology) seeks to promote and maintain high standards of professional education and training while expanding scientific and scholarly knowledge within the field. As former president of Division 16’s Student Affiliates in School Psychology (SASP), I oversaw initiatives to keep students apprised of issues in the field while promoting activities to strengthen the discipline in the future. I also served on Division 16’s Legacy Committee.

International School Psychology Association

ISPA has been proud to promote the work of school psychologists world-wide since the early 1970s.  We provide training, resources, and a global community to school psychologists or those interested in the field. As the founding Student Membership Chair on ISPA’s executive committee (2016-2020), I established the Student Ambassador Program and helped grow ISPA student engagement, while overseeing the creation of student programming for the conferences occurring in Manchester, Tokyo & Basel.
